An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our team of highly skilled actuaries, who each play a pivotal role in the success of Utmost.

As a trainee actuary, you will gain a wide range of experience by rotating between the key actuarial functions. You will be trained in how to produce accurate and timely financial data for regulators, local management and other key stakeholders.
We take pride in the diversity of work the Actuarial team is involved in; as a taster, your work could cover:

  • Solvency
  • Reserving
  • Economic capital
  • Financial modelling
  • Risk management
  • Financial Reporting
  • Product development and testing the viability of new products
  • Coming up with ideas to bring  efficiency around our reporting processes

  • Numerical skills: the ability to solve financial calculations and have a keen interest in data analytics.

Requirements: You must have obtained a minimum of a 2:1 degree within a numerate subject, coupled with a strong commitment and motivation to completing the Actuarial exams.
